The Appleby Community Farm will be back this Saturday with organic produce from their Appleby Community Farm. They will have broccoli, canned goods, greens (chard, collard & turnip), fresh herbs (cilantro, dill, oregano, parsley, rosemary & thyme), dried herbs, loofah sponges, dried peppers (Anaheim ristras), seeds (basil, cilantro, dill & multiple onions) and Bulah’s vinegars. They will also have reusable shopping bags and caps with their Appleby Community Farm (ACF) logo on them.
Other things to look for this Saturday: baked goods (breads, cakes, cookies & pies), canned goods (wild-picked jams & jellies including may haw, blackberry, blueberry, muscatine and wild plum as well as jams, marmalades, preserves, chow-chow, pickled vegetables, salsas and relishes), artisan Texas cheeses, free-range eggs, locally raised organic tilapia fish and tillapia fillets, flowers, herbs (basil, chives, coriander, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary, sage & thyme), local raw honey, jewelry and plants. LOCAL PRODUCE: frozen beans (butter, green, baby Lima & pinto), frozen blueberries, broccoli, cauliflower, frozen field corn, cucumbers, greens (collard, mustard & turnip), kohlrabi, romaine lettuce, onions, unshelled peanuts, frozen peas (black eye, zipper cream & brown Crowder), sweet potatoes, new potatoes and tomatoes (cherry, Romas, red Celebrity slicers & red Jet Star slicers).

The Nacogdoches Farmers’ Market, located at the “hitch lot” at the corner of West Main and Pearl Streets, is open from 8 a.m. until noon or later every Saturday morning. The market is open on Saturday mornings. If the market parking lot is full, additional parking is available in the Nacogdoches County Courthouse Annex parking lot.
Please note that the Farmer’s Market is a “Smoke Free” facility for the health of our customers and vendors.
