Regional Tourism Workshop in Lufkin next Wednesday, August 4th. All sessions will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites, located at 4400 South First Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901. Registration will open at 8:15am and sessions begin at 8:45am. The meeting room has Wi-Fi access so feel free to bring your laptops for any possible hands-on experience or to type your notes electronically.

Jessica Clopp, A Special Olympian From Pollok

The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday that its annual Business Excellence Awards will now commemorate past chairman Gary Lee Justice, who died in an auto accident in May. Justice worked as a manager for R&K Distributors.

City hosting “Memories of Maroney: The Final Swim” on August 14th

NACOGDOCHES- The City of Nacogdoches is gearing up for an exciting final evening at Maroney Pool, 2110 Maroney Drive on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Proceeds from the event, which is being held from 7 to 10 p.m., will benefit the Nacogdoches Waterworks project.
