Licenses Needed ot Operate Hunting Leases

AUSTIN — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department would like to remind landowners that a hunting lease license is required for certain hunting operations, and that those licenses must be renewed yearly.
The owner of a hunting lease or the landowner’s agent may not receive pay or anything of value from hunters unless the owner or agent has acquired a hunting lease license from the department. This law applies to all hunting leases.

The annual Fabulous Fall Festival plant sale at Stephen F. Austin State University’s Mast Arboretum will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, in the lower arboretum parking lot at 1924 Wilson Drive in historic Nacogdoches, Texas.
The event features the annual fall plant sale fundraiser benefiting the SFA Mast Arboretum, Pineywoods Native Plant Center, Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden, and educational programs hosted at the gardens.

Actor Shelby Bond is coming to Nacogdoches to appear in the historic play “1860 at Nacogdoches University” Sept. 10-12. He lives in LA and performs comedy, trick roping and bullwhip feats around the world. He just returned from the Edinburgh Theater Fringe Festival and the Theatre Festival in Winnipeg. He has been featured at LA’s Second City Comedy Club and the Texas Renaissance Festival with Sound and Fury. Bond entertained as Cowboy Max for the last two years at the Texas Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches.
