On Thursday, September 23rd the legendary pop-country legend Glen Campbell, heads to the Temple Theater to kick off the Arts Alliance 2010-11 season. The concert takes place at the Temple Theater Thursday, September 23rd at 7:30 pm. The Temple Theater is located on the Angelina College campus in Lufkin. The show is sponsored by the T.L.L. Temple Foundation. Tenth Anniversary Season Sponsor is Temple-Inland .

In 1969 The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour took to the airwaves and immediately soared to number one. The success of the show was due to Glen’s triple-decker talent as a musician, singer and humorist, and to the guests he brought to the show. He gave the viewers what they wanted: Buck Owens, Lucille Ball, Eric Clapton, Kenny Rogers, Ray Charles, Merle Haggard, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, and even The Monkees. Glen Campbell became a household word across America, and the rest is history. In 1999 Glen won the coveted ACM Pioneer Award for “outstanding and unprecedented achievements in the field of country music.” And in 2005 he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame by the Country Music Association of America.

Today, Glen Campbell continues to perform live shows both in the U.S. and internationally. And his songs have stood the test of time. With standards such as “By The Time I Get To Phoenix”, “Wichita Lineman”, “Galveston.”, and “Gentle On My Mind”, Glen has done it all.

Any unsold or returned tickets will be available for half-price one hour before show time, at 6:30pm.
