Fri., Dec. 10, 2010
We have lots of winners this year for the Nine Flags Christmas Festival contests. Thanks to all for coming out and supporting our 14th annual Nine Flags Christmas Festival and for participating in our many contests. Hope to see you next year!
The Nine Flags Christmas Festival is a celebration of Texas history & culture and will be held Nov. 13 through Dec. 11 in Nacogdoches, located about 150 miles north of Houston via U.S. 59. Nine different flags have flown over the oldest town in Texas throughout its rich history, and this year’s festival will pay special tribute to the attempts to establish Texas as its own republic with the Dr. James Long, Magee-Gutierrez and Fredonia Rebellion flags. Platinum sponsors of the festival include Commercial Bank of Texas and Mike Perry Motor Company.
The Nine Flags Christmas Festival Lighted Parade was held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday,
December 4. This year’s parade was sponsored by First Bank and Trust East Texas. Thanks to all of our sponsors and participants for making this event possible.
